How high do you want to go
High heel sandals start at a manageable twelve centimetres and run up to models where the heel alone measures over twenty. The platform matters just as much, though — that is the part of the height your foot never feels. Without a platform the angle of the foot is at its steepest; on a high platform you can stay on your feet all evening.
Straps and how the shoe holds
Slim straps across the instep look light and let your foot and your nail varnish show. A wider instep holds more firmly and takes more movement. The strap above the heel decides how securely you walk — the higher it sits and the firmer it is, the less your foot shifts inside the shoe.
Colours and materials
Black patent is the most versatile and goes with anything. Clear straps all but disappear and make the leg look longer. Satin and suede read softer and suit formal dresses. Silver and gold metallics come alive on camera and under lights.
Light-up and LED models
Some Pleaser sandals have an LED light built into the platform, charged over USB and offering several colour modes. On stage, at a shoot or in a dark club it is an effect nobody misses. For everyday wear you can simply leave it switched off.
What to wear them with
With summer dresses and skirts, sandals with fine straps work best. For pole dance and photoshoots, reach for a taller platform that keeps the foot in a more comfortable position. For a wedding or a party, pick a single-colour model in patent or satin and let the cut of the straps do the talking.
