Height your foot can carry

The clear platform
A clear platform is the most popular option, and it is easy to see why: the shoe looks lighter than its actual height would suggest. Combined with a clear instep, visually all that remains is the heel and the foot.
How many centimetres make sense
At around three to four centimetres of platform the shoe stays wearable off stage as well. Five to seven centimetres is clearly stage territory. The tallest models are made for performance and photography, not for walking around town.
Colours and finishes
Black and clear are the most practical and work with anything. White comes alive under UV light. Glitter and holographic finishes only really play once there is movement and a spotlight.
What to take them to
To the stage and to shoots, where a platform is standard. To the club, where you will last longer on your feet than in a model without one. And to pole training, if quick slip-on between sets suits you.
